Day 5 Villafranca - Tortoles de E. (via Burgos) 126.6km cycled

Is this the foster petrol station. There is a model in the main studio looking very similar to this. Could I have stumbled upon another Foster? This was just before entering Burgos..
The main cathedral in Burgos. A hot destination amoungst Camino De Santiago walkers
Great view looking down the river toward the cathedral.
The endless road from Burgos to Tortoles...and so begun the endless plains of central spain...undulating hills, and a nead wind that was about to kill me..
These very sad sunflowers are ripe for processing, and this part of spain was covered in them. That and Hills!!
200 MILES CYCLED!!...Landmark moment, and giving me something to do across this endless plain
My first night roughing it. On a bench outside an old monestry in the middle of the hills. I just about stayed warm enough, and funnily enough got a better nights sleep here than at the Camino hostel...Just me and the stars...oh, and soemthing in the hedges keeping me up...Its funny as this monestry was converted into a very exclusive hotel. After refusing to pay the 70 euro they asked for, I thought I´d still stay there...very satisfying
