Day 6 Tortoles de E. - Valladolid 98.5 km cycled

I ended up taking the wrong road and travelled 15km before cycling back. It was a pain but led me to this high plateau where I got these stunning early morning shots.
Long straight roads, few trees, and a dry barron landscape...Still beutiful though. Looks like Austrailia..all I need is a Kangaroo
The original reason I went the wrong way as I was redirected bacuase of road works. Although the road was gone I could cycle it...It was a break from the constant flow of lorries traversing spain..
I´d stopped in this nowhere town to refill my water bottles, when this old couple came out of their house to give me fruit and have a chat...How kind!..I have been met with kindness everywhere I have been with people always wanting to help or donate food etc...Maybe becasue they think I´m a Pilgram...
The Head Wind!!..This became a very dominate feature of the next 2 days!!!..It got worse and worse..taking shade for a snooze, and getting out of the wind for a while
Having cycled straight through Valladolid I came upon this Camino hostel. It was free to stay and with only one other couple here, meant a room to myself!..I donated 5 euro, but all along the Camino route there are these state funded hostels where you stay for free and also get breakfast!..3 different types of bread of course..so kind!
