The 300 Mile mark!!..Just out Valladolid!...I was glad to of just cycled through the city. It was horrible, and I just wanted to gte out asap. The only reason I was going to stop there, was to find an internet cafe, but I did´nt even want to do this...Ahhh..the open road again!
I love the smaller places where the people are friednly and interetsing. Its hard when you have the bike and nobody speaks English. They dont make s single but of effort. This town called Medina was great. Apparently a very important trading market 500 year ago...
I stopped for lunch of cured Pig meet and bread..This is how I do it on the cheap, but the quality is excellant, and cheap...
The castle of Madina is a fairy Tale castle...It often hosted the queen and king at the time...who are also featured everywhere in Salamanca
Could dream up a better castle..
The one bull fighting ring I came across..
Long straigh, open roads again...They do get boring, but you have to make yourself keep going. Luckily every 10km or so there is a town, with water, and some interest..this certainly breaks it up
and HEAD WIND...Even worse noe 15-20mph...at this point I am walking my bike across the flat plain, and even this is hard. It also starts to rain hard. I really thought I was entering a hurricane
A map of the road travelled so far...upside down though..not sure how to rotate...It looks a long way on the map..Spain is big!!
